“I thought he was maybe a parole officer or something. I let him in the building,” says Cepeda, the superintendent at 1220 Seneca Ave. “I didn't pay him no mind.”

The next day Cepeda saw the paramedics carrying the man out of apartment 4B, trying to revive him but knowing there was no use.

“They said he was already dead,” Cepeda says.
